A Brief Overview
Designs and develops software architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with enterprise architecture direction and standards. Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

Role Expectations

Develops an architectural maturity model and strategic roadmap to move teams from projects to final production, as well as transform the execution of work to an agile framework.

Formulates actionable views utilizing in-house tool reporting and architectural visualizations to successfully enhance the company's brand recognition and competitive advantage in the industry.

Develops standard processes to enable faster decision-making and transparent observability in the team's practices and protocols.

Inspects architecture patterns to ensure correct patterns are leveraged for scalability of new business functionality, as well as resiliency, reliability, stability, and availability of existing business functionality.

Applies advanced knowledge of architecture when assisting teams in forming seamless deployment and rollback plans for key business initiatives, utilizing AI where appropriate

Consults with key stakeholders across the broader organization to understand impacts, communicate changes, and develop best practices for architectural schematics.

Experience with distributed computing architectures, including race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control.

Excellent verbal and written communications.

Drives key architectural decisions with the team to ensure architectural standards and guidelines are met on all key business initiatives.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on consumer facing enterprise level application development experience (5+ Years in architecture).

Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills, especially when it comes to choosing between technologies and making informed decisions about architectural best practices

Experience with architecting solutions for Cloud (Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS).

Expert understanding of architectural methodologies and best practices.

Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline, GIT and other DevOps principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in AWS and Google Cloud Platform preferred.

Experience with concept of service API, caching, web component, content management, web security, SSR/CSR, micro services, identity management, iOS or Android application performance optimization.

Experience with ES6/ES7/ES8, UI Middleware.

Experience with packaging, bundling technologies, and library management tools.

Experience with SAFE practices or able to work in SAFE practices and agile methodologies.

Experience related to security oriented projects.

Experience with modern API patterns and how to build well-designed APIs.

Open-minded to new ideas & approaches, and ability to implement the ideas using various technologies, including AI solutions.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $284,280.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
