Desktop Support Technician
Role Summary
The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for supporting end-user computing environments, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices. The role focuses on deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software to ensure consistent workstation performance and a positive user experience.
Contract Details
Contract role with potential extensions
No opportunity for full-time conversion
Work Location
Fully onsite
5 days per week in North Richland Hills, TX (NRH)
Key Responsibilities
Image, configure, and deploy laptops and desktops using SCCM and USB imaging tools
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for PCs, monitors, printers, and company-issued mobile devices
Provide technical support in person, by phone, and through a ticketing system
Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic network connectivity issues
Maintain accurate ticket documentation and follow support procedures
Deliver professional, customer-focused support to end users
Work independently while collaborating with team members as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, hardware, and basic networking
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Associate s or Bachelor s degree in an IT-related field
3 5 years of experience providing end-user desktop or laptop support
Preferred Qualifications
CompTIA A+ or equivalent technical certification
