We are seeking an experienced Permanent Mold Maker to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a 1st/Day Shift position, where you will be responsible for the design, creation, and maintenance of molds used in the production of high-quality plastic injection parts. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing, tool building, and mold repair, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Design and create molds for new parts using CAD software such as UG, Solidworks, Mastercam, etc.
  • Perform mold repair and maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of production parts.
  • Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot issues and improve the functionality of molds.
  • Apply your knowledge of injection molding to optimize the production process.
  • Participate in the testing and validation of new molds, making adjustments as necessary to meet design specifications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop innovative solutions for complex molding challenges.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mold making, tool building, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including UG, Solidworks, Mastercam, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of injection molding processes and plastic materials.
  • Experience in manufacturing and production parts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle precise and detailed work.
  • A commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety protocols and procedures.
