Job Title: Senior Technical Project Manager (TPM)-HR Workforce Management & Financial Systems
Location: Plano, TX ( 100% Remote )
Employment Duration: Long Term Contract  
 
Position Overview
We are seeking an enterprise-grade Senior Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives across our human resources, workforce management, and corporate financial ecosystems. This role sits at the critical intersection of operational headcount planning and technical financial execution. The ideal candidate will orchestrate large-scale transformation projects that modernize how we track, forecast, and report on our global workforce, directly impacting financial forecasting precision and month-end close workflows.
 
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 8+ years of technical project management experience.
Professional Credentialing: A current PMP certification (or an enterprise-level equivalent like PgMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner) is mandatory.
Tooling Suite: Advanced mastery of Planview for project and resource portfolio management AND deep deployment experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
 
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Workforce Management & Reporting Transformation Workforce Architecture Delivery: Lead technical initiatives to integrate Workforce Management (WFM) platforms (e.g., Workday, Kronos/UKG, SAP SuccessFactors) with enterprise financial planning modules. SAC Analytics & Headcount Modeling: Direct the development of predictive workforce modeling and headcount forecasting dashboards within SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), enabling dynamic scenario planning for talent acquisition, capacity planning, and labor cost distribution. Cross-Functional Governance: Partner heavily with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Corporate Controller, and IT Engineering teams to ensure workforce metrics seamlessly align with financial reporting realities.
2. Finance Systems & Month-End Close Optimization Close Cycle Acceleration: Streamline personnel cost-allocation data pipelines to drastically reduce the dependencies and cycle times holding up the month-end close process. Financial Forecasting Precision: Drive automation projects that feed real-time workforce, labor rate, and resource utilization data straight into core budgeting and variance analysis engines.
3. Vendor Governance & Planview Portfolio Management Strategic Vendor Management: Serve as the primary technical liaison for third-party software vendors, system integrators, and implementation consultancies. Establish robust SLAs, negotiate complex SOWs, and hold external parties strictly accountable to technical delivery dates. Planview Governance: Use Planview as the absolute enterprise source of truth to model project health, map cross-functional technology dependencies, and balance resource capacity across internal and vendor teams.
 
Required Qualifications & Skills: Technical & Domain Expertise
  • 8+ Years of Experience: Proven background in IT Project Management, explicitly managing enterprise financial systems and HR/Workforce Management applications.
  • PMP Certification: Active PMP (Project Management Professional) credential or a strictly verifiable equivalent is a must-have.
  • SAC Reporting Expertise: Extensive hands-on project delivery experience involving SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including setting up live data connections, data modeling, and story creation for executive leadership.
  • WFM Domain Mastery: Comprehensive understanding of core HR/Workforce Management lifecycles—including capacity planning, labor cost allocations, time tracking, and human capital analytics. 
  • Planview Proficiency: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience using Planview for portfolio management and capital expenditure (CapEx) tracking.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related technical field.
