AI Evangelist & Strategy Consultant — Insurance
Location: New York
Duration: 6 months

Description:
We are seeking an experienced AI Evangelist to help our insurance business harness the transformative potential of artificial intelligence. This individual will act as a trusted advisor, educator, and change agent — translating AI capabilities into tangible business outcomes across underwriting, claims, policy administration, compliance, and customer experience. The ideal candidate understands both the insurance industry and the rapidly evolving AI landscape and can credibly engage stakeholders from the front line to the C-suite.

Key responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary AI advocate and educator across business units including underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, and operations
  • Translate complex AI and GenAI concepts into clear, compelling business language for non-technical insurance audiences.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases across the insurance value chain — from risk scoring to FNOL automation to fraud detection.
  • Develop and deliver AI awareness sessions, executive briefings, workshops, and lunch-and-learns tailored to insurance functions.
  • Build and maintain an enterprise AI roadmap aligned with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite
  • Partner with technology, data science, actuarial, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions are viable, explainable, and audit-ready.
  • Champion responsible and ethical AI use — model governance, bias awareness, regulatory compliance (NAIC, state DOI requirements).
  • Evaluate AI vendor landscape relevant to insurance — insurtech platforms, predictive analytics, document intelligence, and conversational AI
  • Drive change management and adoption for AI-powered tools and workflows across the organization
  • Track, measure, and communicate ROI and business impact of AI initiatives to executive leadership.

Education:
  • Bachelor''s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • MBA or Master''s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, AI, or Analytics

Required
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, GenAI, large language models (LLMs), and natural language processing
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI tools — Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini
  • Understanding of data governance, model explainability (XAI), and responsible AI principles
  • Ability to evaluate AI vendor solutions and build business cases for adoption
