We are seeking a highly experienced Product Owner to lead the implementation and ongoing stewardship of a custom-built rights and contract management system for the Apple TV Legal department. This role will drive the replacement of the existing RightsLogic platform with an in-house solution designed to manage complex intellectual property rights, restrictions, and contract data.
The Product Owner will serve as the primary liaison between Legal stakeholders and the development team, ensuring the system supports "rights-out" visibility and self-service access while aligning with enterprise and studio-level requirements.

Job Summary

The Product Owner will serve as the primary liaison between Legal stakeholders and the development team, ensuring the system supports "rights-out" visibility and self-service access while aligning with enterprise and studio-level requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert business requirements into well-defined features and user stories; represent customer needs within Scrum teams.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value; adjust scope and features each sprint as required.
- Define release schedules and coordinate deployment of new systems and feature enhancements.
- Oversee current rights management, contract management, and document workflow systems.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Legal stakeholders and lead sprint demos.
- Develop training materials and provide end-user support, including error handling guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and cross-functional business teams to define scalable system solutions.
- Evaluate strategic options and recommend both short- and long-term product roadmaps.
- Support system integrations, data migration, reporting, and enterprise deployment initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst with strong user story writing expertise.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
- 3+ years of collaboration experience with designers and engineers.
- 5+ years of enterprise software design, development, implementation, and deployment.
- 5-7+ years leading cross-functional teams in intellectual property (IP) rights analysis and contract review.
- 5+ years hands-on experience managing rights attributes including:
- Rights In/Out
- Restrictions
- Options
- Holdbacks
- Music Clearance
- Play Off / Sell Off data
- 3+ years developing or implementing rights/licensing systems with complex research capabilities.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with system integrations, data conversions, and reporting frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with rights management platforms such as.

- Rightsline
- FilmTrack
- Experience implementing Generative AI (GenAI) tools within enterprise systems.
- Understanding of global corporate business processes and studio operations.
- Experience replacing vendor platforms with custom in-house enterprise systems.
