This role supports legacy system efficiency using conversational AI and automation, aligning with your COBOL/mainframe
Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and customize IBM WatsonX Assistant for Z, integrating generative AI for mainframe user queries and task automation.
• Develop agentic workflows using watsonx Orchestrate to handle CICS, Db2, and z/OS operations via natural language.
• Onboard teams by codifying Z expert knowledge into skills (Ansible, JCL, REXX) for self-service productivity.
• Troubleshoot and enhance RAG frameworks with domain-specific LLMs for accurate mainframe insights.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years in IBM Z/mainframe ops, with watsonx or Watson AI experience.
• Proficiency in z/OS, CICS, Db2; scripting in REXX/JCL; basic LLM/RAG knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving for system programming and automation workflows.

Preferred Skills

• watsonx Code Assistant for Z integration for COBOL modernization.
• Linux on Z, Ansible automation, and agile DevOps for mainframes.
• Experience migrating 32-bit apps or analyzing legacy code.
