Description
We are looking for an experienced Canvas LMS Support Analyst to provide high-quality application support for the Learning Management System (LMS) at a university in Hoboken, New Jersey. This position primarily involves Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, focusing on troubleshooting and administration of the Canvas platform. As a key resource for faculty and students, you will ensure smooth operations within a dynamic academic environment. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for growth into broader LMS and system initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the Canvas Learning Management System, addressing issues and resolving technical challenges.
Assist faculty and students by troubleshooting application problems and ensuring efficient resolution.
Administer and maintain the Canvas LMS to guarantee optimal functionality.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance user experiences and support academic goals.
Provide guidance on system usage and best practices to faculty and staff.
Utilize tools such as Active Directory and Workday to manage user access and system integrations.
Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues connected to the LMS.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the system administration workflow.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements.
Support potential expansions into Canvas Catalog and other LMS-related projects over time.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support or a related field.
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems, particularly Canvas.
Familiarity with Active Directory for user management.
Solid understanding of computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
Experience with Workday or similar systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced academic environment.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with faculty, students, and staff.
Service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality support.
