Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Developer to support a large-scale Finance Data Modernizationinitiative for a leading enterprise client in Dallas, TX.

The client has an existing Snowflake-based financial data model that was originally developed over a decade ago. The selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing, modernizing, and optimizing the platform while working closely with finance stakeholders and technical teams.

A strong background in Finance domain data is essential, along with deep expertise in Snowflake development and cloud-based data engineering.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake

• Experience designing, developing, and optimizing Snowflake data models

• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills

• Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines and data integration solutions

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling

• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms

• Experience working on Finance Data Modernization or enterprise data transformation projects

• Strong understanding of financial data including:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Fixed Assets

  • Financial Reporting

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

• Ability to collaborate with Finance business users to understand reporting and analytical requirements

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Alteryx

• Experience with data migration and legacy platform modernization

• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau

Responsibilities

• Enhance and modernize the existing Snowflake data platform

• Analyze and improve legacy financial data models

• Design scalable Snowflake solutions for finance reporting and analytics

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and pipelines

• Ensure data quality, governance, and performance

• Collaborate with Finance, Business, and Architecture teams

• Support production deployments and ongoing enhancements

• Document technical designs and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), or Corporate Finance environments

• Experience with enterprise-scale data warehouse modernization initiatives
