Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Note: Candidate must have experience with JAMS, PowerShell, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced JAMS Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation workflows across cloud and on-premises environments. This role focuses on improving operational efficiency through automation, with a strong emphasis on PowerShell scripting and enterprise job scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation workflows and manage them in source control
- Create and maintain a dynamic inventory of JAMS Scheduler jobs
- Monitor, manage, and optimize databases for performance and reliability
- Configure and manage Azure SQL Elastic Jobs for automation tasks
- Maintain a JAMS incident tracker for logging errors, escalations, and resolutions
- Update job properties such as schedules and source code as required
- Proactively monitor job health and review outputs on a daily basis
- Troubleshoot job failures and take corrective actions or escalate when needed
- Create and manage Service Desk tickets for job failures and maintain resolution logs
- Install and update JAMS client tools and reporting tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders on license renewals and support activities
- Participate in IT projects and develop automation workflows as per project plans
- Administer and maintain JAMS Enterprise Scheduler and System Center Orchestrator
- Work with application teams to define automation requirements
- Develop integrations using REST APIs for data analysis and reporting
- Maintain platform stability through patches, updates, and change control processes
- Diagnose and resolve automation runbook issues
- Identify and implement continuous improvements in automation processes
- Ensure 24/7 availability of automation workflows
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders
Technical Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Microsoft PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2012–2019)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2012–2025)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (Logic Apps, Azure SQL, JSON, REST APIs)
- Experience with Azure SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, MongoDB)
- Experience with JAMS Enterprise Manager (highly preferred)
- Knowledge of Azure SQL Elastic Job Agent (preferred)
- Experience with System Center Orchestrator (2012 or later) (preferred)
- Azure or AWS certification is a plus
