Title: PHP Developer

Location: Minneapolis, MN – Onsite

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description::

The candidate will design, build, and maintain mission critical backend services. This includes secure, scalable PHP development, data-driven logic, API integrations, and modernization across legacy and service systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop backend services using core PHP with strong OOP principles.

•             Write and optimize SQL queries for transactional workflows and reporting.

•             Apply secure coding practices to prevent common web vulnerabilities.

•             Support modernization efforts across monolithic and microservices environments.

•             Build and integrate RESTful APIs.

•             Write unit and integration tests and assist with debugging.

•             Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams on requirements and delivery.

•             Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices

•             Assist with environment provisioning using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform).

•             Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of professional PHP development experience.

•             Strong OOP, MVC, and backend design skills.

•             Proficient in SQL query writing and optimization.

•             Experience with unit testing and debugging.

•             Knowledge of secure coding practices.

•             Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and REST API development.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.

•             Familiarity with payment systems or compliance-heavy environments.

•             Experience with Docker and AWS
