This is a high-impact opportunity to join a cohesive, cross-functional engineering group building a sophisticated, cloud-based planning platform dedicated to a critical government mission. The selected professional will tackle complex technical challenges spanning backend architecture, Application Programming Interfaces, frontend interfaces, systems integration, and quality assurance, ensuring secure and reliable delivery for vital defense operations.
What You'll Do
• Architect robust, scalable, and maintainable software applications and cloud infrastructure
• Engineer distributed backend services, Application Programming Interfaces, and dynamic frontend web applications
• Direct technical design decisions and contribute meaningfully to core system architecture
• Consolidate diverse components and software modules delivered by multi-organizational partners
• Produce thorough technical and architectural design documentation
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system errors through rigorous testing and quality assurance protocols
• Collaborate closely with distributed technical teams, government stakeholders, and external development partners
• Articulate intricate architectural concepts clearly to both engineering peers and non-technical leadership
• Drive the continuous enhancement and maturation of a cutting-edge cloud software environment
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• U.S. Citizenship with an Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance
• Comprehensive expertise in Java, TypeScript, and Object-Oriented Programming principles
• Proven capability in API design, implementation, and multi-system integration
• Strong foundation in Full-Stack Web Application Development
• Advanced proficiency in Debugging, system troubleshooting, and quality assurance
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical and stakeholder alignment
• Demonstrated ability to thrive within multi-organization collaboration frameworks
• Highly desirable familiarity with MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Spring Boot, React / Redux, WebGL and/or OpenGL, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD, DevSecOps, and User Interface Development
• Background in formal software engineering documentation such as Software Design Descriptions and Interface Design Descriptions
• Mathematical competencies including Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Multivariate Calculus
• Prior experience supporting the U.S. Navy or Department of Defense agencies
Compensation & Total Rewards
Annual Salary: $140,000 – $190,000
