Job DetailsCore Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and enhance production processes with an emphasis on shortening cycle times while preserving product quality and consistency.
- Oversee the evaluation, implementation, and startup of robotic systems. Create, optimize, and sustain robot programs to deliver reliable weld quality and structural performance.
- Engineer and deploy specialized fixtures and tooling for aluminum fabrication, ensuring dimensional stability, repeatability, and minimal deformation in automated environments.
- Define, document, and uphold welding procedures and qualifications in alignment with applicable AWS codes, including standards specific to aluminum welding.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to uncover inefficiencies, eliminate waste, lower defect rates, and increase overall production capacity.
- Partner with New Product Development teams to ensure designs are optimized for efficient, scalable manufacturing and automation.
- Act as the go-to technical authority for manufacturing operations by diagnosing equipment issues, supporting production teams, and delivering hands-on training to robotic and manual welding personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Welding Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of five years in a manufacturing setting
- Hands-on involvement with robotic welding systems or automated production cells is preferred.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Practical knowledge of aluminum welding techniques and material behavior
- Comprehensive understanding of AWS welding codes and robotic safety requirements, including ANSI/RIA standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience performing structured Root Cause Analysis
