Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Engineer (Level 2/3) to join our Quality Engineering team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st Shift.

The successful candidate is a critical thinker who understands the importance of developing and implementing strategic plans bringing a dedicated focus to drive alignment within the Manufacturing environment by use of multiple activities involving data analytics, applies and practices outstanding project management skills and demonstrates a solid understanding of time management /organization skills.


Position Responsibilities:

Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation

Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements

Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities

Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs

Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness

Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances

Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions

Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved

Works under general supervision


This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the North Charleston, SC site.


This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a ?U.S. Person? as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. ?U.S. Person? includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering

1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry

1+ years of experience in summarizing and/or reviewing documentation to develop informational or technical materials

1+ years of experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and developing conclusions

1+ years of experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problems/analysis/resolution processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production efforts

1+ years of experience supporting projects with cross-functional stakeholders and teammates


Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience working in Quality Engineering or other production engineering jobrole focusing in electrical/wiring installation, systems troubleshooting, and/or aerospace structures

Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

Experience with analytics tools & software

Proactive and collaborative mindset with an emphasis on positive relationships

Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

Analyze complex engineering documentation

Conduct thorough audits

Experience in identifying chronic non-conformances through data analysis and implementing effective corrective actions

Experience in leading/managing cross-functional teams

Summary Pay Range:

Level 2: $83,000 - $112,700

Level 3: $100,300 - $135,700
