Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support large-scale application migration and transformation programs. This role will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and program leadership, working closely with the Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive planning, execution, testing, and sign-off activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Program / Project Manager to define application migration strategy, scope, and roadmap
- Identify dependencies, risks, and sequencing for application migrations
- Facilitate workshops to gather business and technical requirements
- Develop and maintain migration plans, runbooks, and checklists
- Act as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, QA, and vendors
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams for migration milestones
- Conduct regular status meetings and executive updates
- Capture functional and non-functional requirements for migrated applications
- Document current vs. future state processes, data flows, and system interactions
- Ensure traceability from requirements through testing and sign-off
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, and regression testing cycles
- Define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and validation approach
- Ensure defects are tracked, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner
- Establish entry/exit criteria for each migration phase
- Drive business sign-offs post-validation and ensure readiness for go-live
- Support audit and compliance requirements related to migration
- Proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies
- Escalate critical issues to Program Manager and leadership
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8 12+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in enterprise environments
- Strong experience in application migration / cloud transformation programs
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with testing coordination (SIT/UAT)
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial services, banking, or large enterprise domains
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Familiarity with data migration, integration, and validation frameworks
