Sr. PHP Developer / SysOps Engineer (REMOTE)

You will be supporting the development, scalability and reliability of our state-of-the-art platform for the Clinical Trials and Medical Meetings industry. The international organization is working with pharmaceutical companies in over 60 countries and experiencing dynamic growth as the known leader in the industry.

THIS POSITION IS 100 RMOTE IN TH USA

This position focuses on the operations of our environment including provisioning, maintaining, performance monitoring/management, and disaster recovery. You will be an escalation point for customer support requests and expected to prioritize uptime, security, and performance of the environment over all other activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Environment implementation and software configuration
• Perform environment updates and software upgrades
• Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment.
• Monitor environments and create, review, and update operational runbooks and standard operating procedures
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
• Identify opportunities for security and improvement.
• Participate in testing and implementation of pre-release products and enhancements
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical guidance for other engineers
• Update technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge-based articles Perform Disaster Recovery Testing to meet compliance requirements

BACKGROUND

• Strong PHP Development experience.
• Solid experience with network engineering and infrastructure.
• Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
• Experience with 2 or more of the following technologies, tools, and concepts:
• Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2/2016, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory
• Automating processes using PowerShell, Azure PowerShell Modules, REST APIs, JSON or ARM Templates
• Identity management using Azure AD, Okta, OpenID Connect, SAML
• Working knowledge of various cryptographic algorithms and protocols (IPSec, TLS, SSH, AES)
• Network and application security device configuration and management (Cisco, Barracuda, Palo Alto, SonicWall)
• Good knowledge of IT Compliance, policy development, and implementation.
