We have a client seeking an experienced Security Systems Project Manager to oversee low voltage security system projects including Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Network Infrastructure. This is a construction-style project management role, ideal for someone who can manage the full lifecycle of projects with minimal supervision and deliver results on time and within budget.
The right candidate is a self-starter, experienced in low voltage installation and integration, and comfortable coordinating across teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of low voltage security projects from planning through completion.

Review project scope, drawings, and specifications; ensure alignment with client needs.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.

Lead and coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and vendors.

Attend site meetings as needed to review progress and address issues.

Manage project change orders, RFI processes, submittals, and closeout documentation.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA guidelines.

Maintain proactive communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Track financial performance and ensure projects meet company profitability goals.

Support sales and estimating teams with technical input and scope development.

Build and sustain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

8+ years of project management experience in low voltage, security, or life safety systems.

10+ years of experience in IT/Security/Life Safety systems (preferred).

Proven success managing Access Control, CCTV, and Network Infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of Cat6 cabling, network systems, and construction environments.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and experience with Procore, Autodesk, SmartSheet, or Bluebeam preferred.

Working knowledge of AIA billing practices and construction documentation.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification required.

Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and travel locally within NJ as needed.
Preferred Certifications

Manufacturer certifications in access control or surveillance systems.

PMP certification (Project Management Professional).
Travel Requirements
-
Primarily office-based in Kenilworth, NJ.
-
Occasional travel to project sites throughout New Jersey ( 95%) for meetings and inspections.

Mileage and gas reimbursed or per diem negotiated upon hire.
