Role: Oracle – PL/SQL Developer with UNIX
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 12 Months (Can Extend)

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
  • Minimum 10+ Years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with database design principles and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • Understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices.
  • Design, write, and implement robust and efficient Linux KornShell scripts and use the cron scheduling utility to automate repetitive tasks, manage system processes, and perform data manipulation.
  • Proficiency with text parsing tools and utilities like awk, sed, and grep.
  • Utilize version control systems (e.g., ADO Repos) to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience working in SAFe/Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively articulate design decisions and collaborate with team members.
  • Domain experience in Discrete / Mfg. Industry / Aero Industry (added advantage).
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement logical data models and Oracle database schemas.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Write and tune complex SQL queries to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Monitor database performance and resolve SQL/PLSQL‐related issues through tuning and analysis.
  • Provide production database support, including data validation and controlled data updates.
  • Automate database and system tasks using Linux KornShell scripting and cron scheduling.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and troubleshooting using awk, sed, and grep utilities.
  • Manage database code using version control (ADO Repos) and support CI/CD deployments.
  • Assist with database administration activities such as backups, restores, and data migrations.
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation while collaborating with cross‐functional teams.
  • Support application‐specific database schemas and objects, including creation and maintenance of tables, indexes, views, and PL/SQL components to meet application requirements.
  • Optimize application SQL and PL/SQL performance, working closely with development teams to tune queries and resolve application‐related database issues.
  • Manage application‐level database operations, including deployments, patch coordination, data integrity, security controls, and ongoing production support.
