Role Overview
As a Data Center Technician, you will be a primary resolver for the support team. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. This role requires creating and maintaining documentation on supported technologies and effectively passing down knowledge to junior staff. You will work autonomously to resolve most support issues and act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware infrastructure issues.
- Create and maintain documentation for supported technologies.
- Train and pass down knowledge to junior staff.
- Handle remote system administration tasks as part of a virtual team.
- Automate tasks with scripts when necessary.
- Execute small projects independently and assist in planning larger local projects.
- Act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians.
- Understand all aspects of the equipment you support.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Must possess skills in troubleshooting and resolving hardware infrastructure issues.
Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate system administration skills are required. The ability to automate tasks with scripts is necessary.
Work Environment
This role requires the capability to work various shifts for the duration of the contract. The potential shifts include day and night schedules, from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position is between $20.00 and $26.00 per hour. Further details on benefits will be provided to eligible employees.
