OverviewWe're looking for a GIS Developer with Python experience to support the
development of a mission-critical Airfield Management Operations System (AMOS)
platform.
This role sits at the intersection of geospatial technology, aviation
operations, and enterprise application development, leveraging Esri and
VertiGIS tools to power real-time decision-making across a major airport
environment.
You'll work directly with stakeholders and end users to design and build
scalable GIS applications that operate in a 24/7 operational environment.
What You'll Do- Design and build GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise, Dashboards, and Experience Builder
- Enhance and support the AMOS (Airfield Management Operations System) platform
- Develop automation and workflows using Python and Arcade
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable GIS solutions
- Support spatial data modeling, analysis, and application design
- Build and execute QA processes to ensure system reliability in a 24/7 environment
- Research and implement new capabilities across the Esri and Microsoft ecosystem
What We're Looking For- 3+ years of experience working with Esri GIS technologies (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise)
- Hands-on experience with:
- ArcGIS Dashboards
- Experience Builder
- Survey123 / Field Maps
- Strong scripting/programming experience with Python and/or Arcade
- Experience with enterprise GIS environments and spatial data management
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical GIS solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with end users
Nice to Have (Highly Valued)- Experience supporting aviation or airport environments
- Exposure to Airfield Management Systems (AMOS)
- Experience with VertiGIS tools

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $65.00/hr.
