Maintenance Technician-NS

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Maintenance Technician-NS with a pharmaceutical company. This is a 6+ month contract position located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily rounds of the manufacturing facility, documenting issues and creating work orders
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
• Complete GMP documentation on a computer daily
• Complete daily Preventive Maintenance (PMs)
• Handle incoming issues, Corrective Maintenance (CMs), and General Maintenance (GMs) from manufacturing
• Monitor the Building Management System
• Keep the maintenance shop clean and ready for use
• Respond to emails, on-call phone, and direct messages

Requirements:

• Associate degree and 2 years of experience OR 2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience OR High school diploma / GED and 4 years of experience
• Thorough working knowledge of pharmaceutical filling, freeze drying, and packaging equipment operation, maintenance, and repair
• Full working knowledge of pumps, valves, mechanical seals, motors, and proper lubrication
• Strong documentation and attention to detail skills
• Full working knowledge of cGMP and Predictive Maintenance philosophy and techniques
• Ability to create, read, interpret, and revise engineering documents
• Ability to read and understand P&IDs and work from SOPs
• Knowledge of and ability to use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals, high and low temperature liquids, high pressure liquids and gasses, steam, varying electrical voltages, and moving machinery
• Must be amenable to work a graveyard shift (5pm-6am, Wednesday-Friday & every other Saturday) and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at elevations up to 15 feet
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with minimum or no supervision

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with machine shop equipment including CNC machine and lathe is a plus

Pay range: Up to $27.02 per hour
