Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tivoli Output Manager (TOM) Mainframe Administrator to provide administration, configuration, support, and optimization of enterprise mainframe output-management environments. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Output Manager, z/OS, JES2/JES3, and mainframe print and report distribution processes.

This role will be responsible for ensuring reliable capture, management, routing, archival, retrieval, and distribution of mainframe-generated reports and output across a large-scale enterprise environment. The position will also provide technical leadership for production support, upgrades, problem resolution, automation, and performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IBM Tivoli Output Manager environments.
• Manage the capture, indexing, storage, routing, viewing, printing, and distribution of mainframe output.
• Configure and maintain Tivoli Output Manager rules, policies, repositories, output classes, destinations, and distribution requirements.
• Support z/OS, JES2/JES3, SDSF, JCL, and spool-management processes.
• Monitor production output and resolve issues involving reports, print streams, output queues, and distribution.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex output-management problems across applications, batch jobs, JES, network, and printing environments.
• Develop and maintain JCL, procedures, scripts, and automation supporting output-management operations.
• Coordinate with application development, systems programming, operations, storage, network, security, and infrastructure teams.
• Support implementation of new applications, reports, printers, distribution channels, and output requirements.
• Perform Tivoli Output Manager upgrades, maintenance, configuration changes, testing, and migrations.
• Establish and maintain operational standards, documentation, procedures, and disaster-recovery processes.
• Participate in production support and provide technical assistance for critical incidents and escalations.
• Analyze system performance, capacity, and reliability and recommend improvements.
• Assist with enterprise modernization initiatives involving mainframe output distribution, electronic report delivery, and automation.
• Ensure appropriate security, access controls, retention policies, and audit requirements are maintained.
• Mentor junior mainframe administrators and provide technical leadership on complex initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of mainframe systems administration or production-support experience, with significant experience in output management.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Output Manager (TOM).
• Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS environments.
• Extensive experience with JES2/JES3, JCL, SDSF, and JES spool/output processing.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting mainframe report/output distribution.
• Knowledge of mainframe printing, report archival, and electronic distribution technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple mainframe components.
• Experience with production support, incident management, change management, and problem management.
• Ability to analyze system logs, job output, JES messages, and application-generated reports.
• Strong understanding of mainframe operations and batch-processing environments.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD/OnDemand) or other enterprise report-archiving solutions.
• Experience with CA View, CA Deliver, IBM Print Services Facility (PSF), Infoprint, or comparable output-management technologies.
• Knowledge of VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP, SMTP, and network-based report distribution.
• Experience with RACF and mainframe security controls.
• Familiarity with REXX, CLIST, ISPF, or other mainframe automation tools.
• Experience supporting high-volume financial, healthcare, insurance, government, or other enterprise mainframe environments.
• Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, and business-continuity planning.
• Familiarity with ITIL, ServiceNow, or similar IT service-management processes.
• Experience leading technical projects and coordinating across multiple infrastructure teams.
