Travel: 80%+ (Nationwide)
Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced Laser Scanning Field Technician to support reality capture projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure environments. This is a hands-on, field-intensive role requiring strong scanning expertise, survey control knowledge, and the ability to work independently on active job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform terrestrial laser scanning in industrial and commercial environments
Set up and verify survey control using total stations
Execute field scanning plans independently
Conduct field QA/QC to ensure data accuracy and completeness
Capture supporting data (photos, notes, measurements, metadata)
Coordinate with site teams for safe and efficient operations
Support drone-based data capture (if licensed)
Travel extensively for multi-day project assignments
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of laser scanning experience
Strong experience with survey control and total stations
Knowledge of coordinate systems and registration workflows
Ability to work independently in field environments
Willingness to travel 70–90%
Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
FAA Part 107 Drone License
Experience in industrial / MEP / manufacturing environments
Familiarity with Leica, FARO, Trimble, NavVis
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry scanning equipment
Comfortable working in industrial sites, heights, and confined spaces
Adherence to safety and PPE standards
