Job Title: Senior Mainframe Network Engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI(Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced network analysis using packet captures and sniffer traces.
Execute and analyze VTAM network traces for SNA/APPN environments.
Support Enterprise Extender (EE) for SNA-over-IP communication.
Configure and maintain z/OS Policy Agent (Pagent) and AT-TLS rules.
Manage secure communication protocols (SSH, SSL/TLS).
Administer digital certificates and keyrings.
Support file transfer solutions: SFTP, FTPS, Connect:Direct.
Configure IBM 3270 emulators (PCOMM, Host On-Demand, HACP-EE).
Maintain enterprise printing systems and protocols (PCL, PostScript).
Generate reports using SMF records with REXX, CLIST, and Java.
Perform performance monitoring and capacity planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide 24x7 on-call support.
✅ Required Qualifications:
Strong experience with z/OS environments (TSO/ISPF, JCL, SDSF, JES2/JES3, OMVS).
Knowledge of VTAM, SNA, APPN, and TCP/IP networking.
Experience with network security protocols and encryption technologies.
Familiarity with tools like PuTTY, WinSCP, and MS Office.
10+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in relevant roles.
Experience with scripting/programming (REXX, CLIST, Java).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent certification).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
