Project Manager (W2 Only)

About this Position:

Job Title: Project Manager

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

• Manages assigned IT projects and coordinates with all stakeholders from inception to completion to achieve the desired outcome.

• Works with project team to identify and document project scope/charter, budget (where applicable), resources, project schedules including milestones and risks, and project deliverables.

• Establishes meeting cadence for each project to ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule.

• Maintains project team accountability through tracking budget, milestones, risk mitigation actions, issues, and task assignments. Escalates issues timely to applicable stakeholder(s).

• Collaborates with others to establish project meeting agendas and produces project team meeting notes including providing project status updates and reports to stakeholders.

• Closes out each project in a timely and orderly manner, with documentation of lessons learned and finalizing of essential project documentation.

• Maintains accurate master IT project list.

• Produces required IT project related presentation and supplemental materials for meetings including steering committee and strategic planning meetings.

• Work with IT Management and Project Management Office to develop, document, and codify the project planning, implementation, and management methodology for adoption by client.

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

• PMP CERTIFICATION.

• 5+ YEARS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.

• 3+ YEARS PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING ENTERPRISE LEVEL IT PROJECTS.

• 1+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH SERVICENOW.

• 3+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH BUDGETING.

PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

• EXPERIENCE MANAGING SYSTEM MODERNIZATION INIATIVES.

• EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH STATE AGENCIES.

• EXPERIENCE COLLABORATING WITH EXTERNAL CLIENTS.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• A bachelor's degree in the business management, public administration, information technology, or other related field of study.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

• PMP.
