Job Summary

We are seeking a Design & Release Engineer with strong experience in automotive embedded systems and Android-based ECU development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing component design, validation, and release activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure successful vehicle program launches.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end design and release of automotive components (ECUs, infotainment, telematics systems)
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, validation, system engineering, and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with APQP processes, DFMEA/PFMEA, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee 3D model reviews, packaging, and interface management
  • Lead engineering change management (ECR/ECN) and issue resolution (5 Why, root cause analysis)
  • Conduct technical reviews and ensure supplier deliverables meet specifications
  • Support validation, testing, and release documentation
  • Handle post-release activities including warranty analysis and issue tracking
  • Work on OTA/FOTA updates and validation processes
  • Maintain detailed documentation, reports, and KPI tracking

 

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in automotive ECU software development
  • Strong experience with Android development (services, middleware)
  • Hands-on experience with ASPICE standards
  • Experience with AWS tools (preferred in connected vehicle environments)
  • Proficiency in Vector tools:
    • CANoe
    • CANalyzer
    • CAPL scripting
  • Experience in low-level software development (HAL, middleware)
  • Knowledge of APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA processes

 

Preferred Skills

  • Kotlin / Java programming
  • Python, UML, JSON
  • Experience with OTA/FOTA updates
  • Automotive cybersecurity knowledge

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field)
  • Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers preferred

 

Note: Candidates must have hands-on automotive experience with embedded systems and Vector tools. Pure mobile/Android developers without automotive background will not be considered.
