Description:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Kubernetes Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in container orchestration, Kubernetes operations, and cloud-native deployment patterns. This engineer will design, deploy, and maintain production-grade workloads while partnering with DevSecOps, Application Security, and Platform Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Kubernetes Engineering
- Architect, deploy, and manage complex workloads across multiple Kubernetes environments.
- Optimize and troubleshoot Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, and Ingress configurations.
- Implement and tune resource requests/limits, autoscaling, and performance optimization.
- Design secure namespace boundaries, RBAC rules, and multi-tenant cluster architectures.
- Write, maintain, and validate Kubernetes YAML manifests, Helm charts, and GitOps workflows.
Containerization
- Build and harden Docker images using best practices (multi-stage builds, minimal base images, scanning).
- Troubleshoot registry integrations, build issues, and runtime behaviors across environments.
CI/CD & Automation
- Enhance or develop CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Automate Kubernetes deployments using GitOps or Infrastructure-as-Code patterns.
- Ensure pipelines enforce security scanning, compliance checks, and governance controls.
Linux & Systems Fundamentals
- Debug Linux processes, filesystem issues, and container runtime behavior.
- Use core networking tools for cluster-level debugging (tcpdump, dig, nslookup, netcat, iptables).
Networking & Security
- Architect and operate secure service exposure models (ClusterIP, NodePort, LoadBalancer, Ingress).
- Deep understanding of DNS, ports, service discovery, and networking policies.
- Implement secure configuration using Secrets, ConfigMaps, service accounts, and RBAC.
- Integrate workloads with enterprise security tools.
Required Experience & Expertise
- 4 6 years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production.
- Advanced Kubernetes YAML authoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals.
- Strong Docker experience including image optimization and container hardening.
- Solid Linux fundamentals (filesystem, processes, networking).
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline orchestration and automation.
- Ability to independently own deployments end-to-end.
Experience Requirement
4 6 years of hands-on, production-level experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines.
