Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair light-duty diesel trucks, primarily Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge 2500-5500 pickups.
- Perform advanced automotive and diesel diagnostics, including drivability and electrical troubleshooting.
- Complete general mechanical repairs across vehicle systems; the shop does not perform internal transmission repairs.
- Use diagnostic and scan equipment including Snap-on, Autel, TOPDON, IDS, GEARWRENCH, and MAC tools.
- Build repair estimates with required parts information for the Service Advisor to order.
- Complete digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric; training on the shop\'s DVI process is provided.
- Work with the service team to complete accurate, efficient repairs.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant technician experience.
- Diesel repair experience is ideal for this position.
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting ability appropriate for an A-Level technician role.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and drivability concerns.
- Ability to work on domestic light-duty diesel pickups, including Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge.
- Ability to use automotive diagnostic and scan tools.
Compensation & Benefits
- Flat-rate pay of $50-$65 per flagged hour.
- Paid weekly.
- Guaranteed 40 hours for the first 3 weeks, 30 hours for the following 3 weeks, and 20 hours thereafter.
