About this opportunity:

Ericsson Inc. seeks an Engineer - Svcs RF in Plano, TX; May telecommute from any home office throughout the U.S., who will serve to RF Design & Optimization for 4G and 5G networks, covering both outdoor macro and in-building DAS/small cell deployments to ensure seamless coverage and quality of service.

What you will do:

Conduct initial RF tuning and parameter audits for new sites and in-building solutions, including PCI planning, neighbor list optimization, and feature validation to ensure readiness for commercial launch. In-Building RF design coverage assessments, floorplan analysis, and antenna placement planning to support enterprise-grade wireless solutions in complex environments such as hospitals, campuses, and high-rise buildings. Manage walk tests and benchmarking activities for in-building and outdoor deployments, identifying coverage gaps, handover failures, and interference issues. Collaborate with cross functional engineering teams for in-building solution implementation, ensuring proper cabling, power, and antenna placements are in line with RF design objectives. Coordinate acceptance testing and performance validation for newly deployed indoor and outdoor sites, ensuring they meet quality thresholds. Support multi-vendor integration and tuning, ensuring compatibility and performance alignment across different OEM platforms and technologies. Analyze end-to-end KPIs, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance accessibility, throughput, and user experience across both indoor and outdoor environments. Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers on in-building system design, commissioning procedures, and optimization best practices. Client engagement with enterprise, venue owners, and telecom partners to gather requirements, define coverage goals, and deliver customized in-building wireless solutions. May telecommute from any home office throughout the U.S.

The skills you bring:

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 2 years of experience in RF Engineering OR Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of experience in RF Engineering.

2 years of experience (with Master's or Bachelor's) to include:
  1. RF Tuning, Optimization and design of mobile network BSS and radio equipment;
  2. Radio Network Optimization and design;
  3. Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis for customer networks;
  4. Leading a team of engineers ;
  5. Developing detailed RF designs using design tools.

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

The salary range for this position is
  • Washington, New York, New Jersey, and District of Columbia.: $117,253- $140,700
  • California: $117,253 - $154,875
  • All other US locations: $117,253- 131,250.

Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time
Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
