This role is responsible for building software solutions to drive business success. The position involves building various aspects of the company's infrastructure to power innumerable conversations at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability.
- Design, guide, and challenge system architecture and design with others.
- Develop and maintain a public API.
- Develop robust and extensible solutions from feature requests.
- Work with big data technology such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to develop value-added features.
- Work with the DBA to create ETL and Data Warehouse systems.
- Work with Operations to automate solutions and increase service reliability.
- Monitor all platform-related production systems.
- Build tools and processes to support analytics, monitoring, machine-learning, and data-warehousing platforms.
- Define and implement strategies covering subnets, backups, and network configuration.
- Provision, configure, maintain, and monitor onsite and cloud-based server resources.
- Define and implement deployment strategies for client-facing and internal systems.
- Conduct continual improvement and fine-tuning of alerting and monitoring systems.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Experience in software or systems development.
- A background in building software systems.
- Background in Linux administration.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Digital Ocean, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with automation or configuration software (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) or orchestration software (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
- Experience with administration at production scale.
Technical Skills:- Working knowledge of at least one of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, Go, or a comparable language.
- Understanding of IT security best practices.
- Understanding of computer networks.
- Ability to work with high-level requirements.
- Business Analysis and Business Systems Analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Encompass.
- Knowledge of Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC).
- Familiarity with Mortgage Lending.
- Understanding of Platform Engineering.
