Grid Technologies Substation Sales Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a Grid Technologies Substation Sales Manager to lead strategic business development and complex sales efforts across a high-voltage substation EPC portfolio. This role will develop customized solutions for major capital projects, lead multi-million-dollar sales cycles and negotiations, and build strong relationships with utilities, data centers, industrial customers, IPPs, EPC contractors, consultants, and developers.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute sales strategies for power transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, AIS/GIS switchgear, and substation balance-of-plant solutions
* Identify opportunities to convert equipment and component sales into turnkey substation EPC projects
* Serve as a technical and commercial expert, developing competitive solutions based on customer requirements
* Lead complex bids, proposals, customer presentations, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and risk discussions
* Coordinate across engineering, procurement, project management, commercial, and legal teams to deliver competitive and executable proposals
* Build long-term customer relationships and drive repeat EPC business

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
* 10+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, application engineering, or project execution within power transmission and distribution
* Strong knowledge of power transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, and AIS/GIS switchgear. GIS experience preferred
* Experience with large, complex technical sales opportunities or project execution
* Knowledge of substation EPC delivery, balance of plant, utility/data center specifications, pricing, estimating, contracts, and project risk
* Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Solution-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead independently and across teams
* Ability to travel approximately 30%

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
