Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist 4 (TS4) to design and implement enterprise data engineering and data architecture solutions. This role will play a key part in shaping the agency s data ecosystem, including data platform evaluation, enterprise data modeling, and architecture development.

The ideal candidate will be a senior technical contributor responsible for building scalable, secure, and well-governed data solutions while collaborating with IT leadership, architects, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise data engineering and data architecture solutions.
• Evaluate data platforms and provide technical recommendations for data ecosystem improvements.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytics and operational systems.
• Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and design patterns.
• Contribute to the enterprise data architecture roadmap and long-term data strategy.
• Provide architectural guidance to ensure scalable, reusable, and interoperable data solutions.
• Lead technical discussions related to design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of data systems.
• Collaborate with enterprise partners to integrate agency systems with enterprise data lake and analytics platforms.
• Support data integration, data cleansing, data classification, and data governance initiatives.
• Work closely with the CIO, IT Architects, and IT Managers to align solutions with agency goals.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience with Salesforce platforms (data integration and architecture).
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft environments, including
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365
• 5+ years of experience building data integration pipelines using StreamSets.
• 5+ years of experience with the Snowflake data platform.
• 5+ years of experience integrating analytics solutions with Tableau.
• Strong experience in:
  • Data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
  • Data integration and ETL processes
  • Data governance and architecture frameworks
  • Enterprise data platform design

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise data lakes and modern analytics platforms
• Strong understanding of data architecture frameworks and integration strategies
• Experience working in large enterprise or government environments
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills
