Senior Specialist Auditor - Technology & Data-Enabled Audit

The Senior Specialist Auditor supports the execution of technology-enabled audits, focusing on operational controls, ITGCs, data analytics, and audit quality. Ideal candidates have 2 to 3 years of audit experience and a strong interest in expanding their technical skills, especially in areas such as AI and data analytics.

Senior Specialist Auditors work alongside experienced auditors, assisting with audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting, while continuously developing their operational and technical capabilities.

Overall Purpose: Conduct and document moderate to complex audit projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of audits by performing operational and ITtesting under guidance of senior team members
• Assist in identifying business and technology risks through interviews, documentation review, and basic data analysis
• Apply foundational data analytics and automation tools to support audit procedures
• Contribute to the responsible use of AI-enabled audit tools to enhance efficiency and documentation
• Prepare clear, well-supported audit workpapers and assist with drafting sections of audit reports
• Communicate observations and status updates to audit team leads
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Track progress on remediation efforts as directed
• Participate in assigned special projects or process improvement activities

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Certification is required in some areas.
• Strong understanding of ITand internal controls
• Experience using data analytics in audit or risk assessment
• Exposure to AI, automation, or advanced audit tools preferred
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities
• Professional certifications (CIA, CISA, CPA) required in some areas or strongly preferred

Our Senior Specialist Auditor earns between $87,200-130,800 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
