  • Research and write in-depth assessments on the structure, capabilities, intent, and operational tactics of specific foreign intelligence services.
  • Analyze reporting from friendly sources (debriefing reports) for indicators of deception, fabrication, or hostile control.
  • Conduct deep-dive, all-source background checks on potential new sources to assess their authenticity, motivations, and potential CI risks.
  • Review operational proposals for new operations to identify and assess potential CI vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Provide direct analytical support to active CI investigations by correlating data, identifying leads, and producing analytical reports for CI special agents.
  • Generate CI leads by identifying anomalous activities or suspicious contacts in operational, travel, or financial reporting.
  • Provide tailored threat briefings to case officers, debriefers, and operational managers to enhance their situational awareness and security posture.
