Develop and implement software applications that bridge technical teams and end-users, addressing business needs through innovative solutions and enhancing member or internal user experiences. Engage in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment, to enhance system efficiency. Conduct routine work assignments of limited scope and complexity under close supervision. Entry level professional with developing skill set and a basic understanding of procedures and techniques.
Responsibilities - Assist in designing, develop, and optimize high-quality software applications using various, basic programming languages and frameworks that meet business requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical team members to gather and analyze requirements, propose innovative solutions, and ensure timely task completion
- Write basic, clean, scalable, and maintainable code following industry best practices and organizational coding standards
- Participate in basic code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain a high-quality codebase
- Utilize established data structures and algorithms, optimizing code for performance, scalability, and user experience
- Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to application functionality, performance, and bugs; escalate as required
- Adhere to established application and software development engineering policies, standards, and procedures
- Support team projects and initiatives, contributing to collective success and continuous improvement
- Continuously learn from individual and team experiences, fostering growth and improvement through collaboration and continuous feedback
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience
- College/university degree or 1-2 years of experience in application or software development engineering
- Basic skill in one or more programming languages, with exposure to modern development tools
- Basic knowledge of concepts, methodologies, and frameworks such as Agile
- Familiarity with database structures and querying techniques
- Analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities
- Experience or familiarity with tools like Git for managing codebases
- Exposure to front-end and back-end development technologies
- Ability to articulate technical concepts in writing and speech effectively
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and knowledge base platforms for troubleshooting
- Exposure to testing frameworks and methodologies for ensuring application quality
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving industry practices
