Summary

Duties and responsibilities:

The Software Engineering & Development position will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing the front-end solutions for a sophisticated electronic trading system. This product is designed to deliver advanced trading capabilities and is continually evolving, with new features being added to meet diverse user needs and expanding into additional asset classes and business areas. Utilizing strong expertise in React and other JavaScript-based frameworks, this role will collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver outcomes that align to best practices and high-coding standards to drive technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and improve modular, scalable front-end solutions for multiple product domains within an electronic trading platform. Set design patterns and technical standards.
  • Lead development of high-performance user interfaces using ReactJS and GraphQL, delivering advanced trading features and optimized user experiences.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and define specifications aligned with business goals.
  • Own large projects or components from start to finish, demonstrating strong leadership and project management.
  • Oversee microservices architecture with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
  • Enforce clean, maintainable code and industry standards, lead code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Prioritize usability, accessibility, and responsive design to enhance user experience and ensure compatibility.
  • Implement comprehensive automated testing, type-safe frameworks, and resilient CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive front-end improvements, including tooling, performance, observability, and workflow enhancements.
  • Promote efficient developer workflows through AI tools and optimized environments.
  • Ensure strict compliance with development, coding, privacy, and security standards.

Education and experience requirement(s):

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field;

5+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on front-end development.

Additional qualifications and attributes:
  • Expert in ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and component architecture; led complex front-end projects.
  • Skilled at integrating REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and Pub/Sub for scalable systems.
  • Advanced with CSS-in-JS tools; mentor teams on effective styling strategies.
  • Proficient in unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library) and enforcing testing standards.
  • Experienced with build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rollup), optimizing processes and guiding best practices.
  • Strong in front-end architecture and design patterns; set technical direction and code quality.
  • Leader in UI/UX strategy, improving usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Node.js and bridging front-end and back-end teams.
  • Experienced with cloud deployment (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable solutions.
  • Skilled at evaluating and enhancing front-end pipelines and tooling.
  • Effective collaborator in agile teams; mentor engineers and drive results.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for high-impact outcomes.

Salary Range:
$125,000 - $200,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
