Performance Tester

• Responsible for designing and executing performance engineering strategies for cloud-enabled and cloud-native applications.
• The role focuses on workload modeling, performance testing, observability, root cause analysis, and continuous performance optimization across enterprise systems and Guidewire cloud implementations.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in performance engineering and testing.
• At least one end-to-end Guidewire cloud implementation experience.
• Strong expertise with performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, Jaeger, and LoadRunner.
• Experience with APM tools including Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, Elastic Search, and Fiddler.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native and cloud-enabled application performance testing.
• Experience implementing CI/CD gating and automated performance monitoring.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for root cause analysis and bottleneck identification.
• Knowledge of web technologies and protocols including HTTP/HTTPS and TCP/IP.
• Experience leading and mentoring global performance testing teams.

Experience:

• Extensive experience creating, executing, and analyzing performance test scripts for web applications, APIs, and databases.
• Experience instrumenting on-premises and cloud applications using APM tools.
• Experience building dashboards and monitoring architectural components under load.
• Experience conducting scalability, stress, peak, and workload performance testing.
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) testing practices.
• Experience preparing performance reports and recommendations for stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop non-functional performance and security testing strategies.
• Define and improve engineering standards, guidelines, and testing practices.
• Create detailed workload models for average, peak, stress, and scalability scenarios.
• Align integrations and simulate varied real-world response times.
• Implement CI/CD performance gating and continuous monitoring processes.
• Design and execute performance test scripts for applications, APIs, and databases.
• Instrument applications using APM and observability tools.
• Build dashboards to analyze system behavior under load conditions.
• Perform root cause analysis and identify system bottlenecks.
• Guide development teams in resolving performance-related issues.
• Prepare detailed performance reports with findings and recommendations.
• Support optimization techniques including caching, compression, and tuning.
• Conduct performance testing for cloud-native and cloud-enabled applications.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure successful test execution and outcomes.
• Train and mentor teams on performance engineering best practices.

Should Have:

• Exposure to unit testing and mobile application testing.
• Experience improving test coverage and testing strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.
• Awareness of security testing concepts such as DDoS mitigation and SSL/TLS configurations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualification And Education:
