Job Description
We are seeking a Cloud and Data Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS and Azure architecture, enterprise cloud security, containerization, CI/CD, microservices, and cloud-native design and a proven ability to design and deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud and data platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business teams and translate requirements into cloud solutions.
- Recommend cloud migration approaches and develop AWS adoption roadmaps.
- Create application, data, and deployment architectures with functional design specifications and technical deliverables.
- Design modern, secure, and resilient AWS solutions that meet availability, performance, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Controls teams to ensure secure and compliant cloud implementations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in application development, engineering, solution architecture, and technical leadership.
- 5+ years as a solution architect with AWS or Azure.
- Expertise in enterprise data platforms including data lakes, warehouses, marts, and real-time streaming.
- Proficiency with relational, semi-structured, and unstructured databases; strong Python or Java skills.
- Experience designing large-scale APIs, microservices, and distributed streaming solutions.
- Hands-on AWS architecture including VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, landing zones, ELB, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, App Mesh, RDS PostgreSQL, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
- Security-by-design expertise with risk assessment, control design, gap remediation, and observability frameworks.
- AWS or Azure Architecture Associate Certification required. AWS Professional Certification preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with TOGAF principles, CISSP or equivalent security certification.
- Multi-cloud exposure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- MLOps with Domino Data Lab and AWS SageMaker, including CI/CD for ML and enterprise model governance.
- Microservice orchestration using ECS, EKS, Fargate, Lambda, EventBridge, App Mesh, and Step Functions; event-driven patterns with Kinesis, SNS/SQS.
- DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Docker; observability with CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry.
- Strong communication, diagramming, and stakeholder influence skills.
