Senior Mainframe Developer - Hybrid - Locals to NC

***Mode of Interview :- Webcam Interview Only *** Very long term project (initial PO for 1 year, expect to go for 4+ years) ***Hybrid (3days per week Onsite) at Raleigh-NC***

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the Tax and Financial Accounting and Reporting System (FARS) systems and work on the Interfaces related to CLient''s. 
• Provide adequate support for the FARS and Interface systems.
• Handle design, implementation, and maintenance of mainframe computer systems for Client .
• Assist in maintaining the FARS systems and work on the FARS Modernization project including data cleansing and conversion.
• Work with other technical teams to ensure that the mainframe system is properly integrated with other systems and technologies.
• Resolve technical issues that arise with the mainframe system, including working with other technical teams to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Develop and implement preventative measures to minimize the risk of future issues.

Required Knowledge:- 

• Knowledge of VSAM and Hierarchical database structures

Skills/Requirements:- 

• Technical knowledge and experience with COBOL Required 10 Years
  
• Technical knowledge and experience with CICS Required 10 Years
  
• Technical knowledge and experience with VSAM files and relational databases Required 10 Years
  
• Technical knowledge and experience with JCL Required 10 Years
  
• Knowledge and experience in transferring data sets from mainframe applications to Oracle / SQL based programs Required 10 Years
  
• Successful completion of technology projects within area of responsibility, analyzing feasibility, compatability and cost of solutions Required
  
• Ability to engage business and technical experts in the cleansing and conversion of legacy data to Oracle Highly desired 5 Years
  
• Ability to perform mainframe logic and decommissioning Required 5 Years
  
• Strong organizational skills Required
  
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Required
  
• Ability to engage business experts in the purpose and use of data in the Benefit Payment Application Desired
  
• Knowledge of FARS application Nice to have
