Application Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Application Engineer in Jacksonville, FL.

Summary:
The Application Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, programming, configuring, and supporting integrated security and technology systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, and wireless solutions. These systems may include a combination of hardware, software, and networking components. This individual will provide technical support, perform system programming and diagnostics, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and issue resolution. The Application Engineer may support systems remotely or onsite and will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure successful implementation, maintenance, and optimization of solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Program, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize integrated technology and security systems
* Diagnose hardware, software, networking, and system performance issues
* Provide remote and onsite technical support
* Manage service requests and ensure timely completion of required documentation
* Track system upgrades, enhancements, and customer support needs
* Train field personnel and end users on system functionality and best practices
* Serve as a primary point of contact for technical issue resolution
* Escalate and manage customer concerns through resolution
* Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service
* Submit weekly timesheets and business-related expenses
* Consistently meet performance expectations and project deadlines
* Maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused attitude

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED, Associate's degree, or equivalent professional experience
* Candidates must possess experience supporting enterprise security systems and technologies, including programming, troubleshooting, and system configuration
* Experience with networking concepts, IP-based systems, and system integrations
* Knowledge of enterprise technology environments
* Strong collaboration and teamwork skills required
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing service demands
* Industry certifications related to networking, security, systems administration, or technical support preferred
* Previous experience in a managed services or customer support environment is a plus

Work Environment
* May be required to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support, including nights, weekends, and holidays
* Valid driver's license required
* Ability to travel to customer locations as needed

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
