BigID Technical Lead

Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite)
Duration: Long-term Contract

Looking for an BigID – Technical Lead to serve as the technical lead and SME for the BigID platform. This role will own the platform architecture, provide technical leadership, work closely with the BigID vendor, mentor the support team, and drive enhancements for privacy and data governance solutions.

Responsibilities

1. BigID Platform Expertise
   • Hands-on experience with BigID Core and/or BigID Privacy Portal
   • Data discovery, classification, privacy, and governance platforms
   • Platform ownership and technical leadership
2. AWS & API/Scripting Experience
   • Experience with AWS (compute, networking, security, IAM)
   • Strong scripting skills
   • Designing, building, and maintaining API integrations
3. Enterprise Data & Database Knowledge
   • Strong understanding of Oracle, SQL Server, SharePoint, and enterprise data repositories
   • Knowledge of data discovery, data classification, and privacy regulations (CCPA/GDPR)
   • Experience working with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments

Requirements

• 7+ years of programming/technical analysis experience
• Hands-on experience with BigID (or similar privacy/data governance platforms)
• Experience with AWS (IAM, networking, compute, security)
• Strong scripting and API integration skills
• Solid knowledge of Oracle, SQL databases, SharePoint, and enterprise data discovery
• Experience supporting cloud + on-prem enterprise environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with privacy regulations (CCPA/GDPR)
• Background in regulated enterprise environments
