Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. As a Network Systems Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Design and Deployment
Plan, install, configure, and optimize network and system environments, including Cisco networking, VMware virtualization platforms, Windows Server, and Linux operating systems
Switching and Routing
Configure and maintain enterprise-class switching and routing infrastructure, including VLANs, trunking, and standards based routing protocols
Optimize network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Firewall and VPN Management
Configure and maintain Cisco firewall technologies, VPN solutions (site-to-site and client-based), and enforce security policies
Load Balancing and Optimization
Configure and maintain load balancing solutions (F5 Big-IP, iRules) to improve application performance and availability
Operating Systems Management
Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services
Perform patching, updates, and performance tuning
Virtualization Expertise
Deploy, configure, and manage VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines
Ensure high availability, resource optimization, and disaster recovery readiness
Operations and Support
Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning for network and system components to ensure reliability and uptime
Security and Compliance
Implement best practices for network and system security, manage patching cycles, and participate in vulnerability management
Cloud Integration
Deploy and manage cloud services (Azure, AWS) to enhance scalability and efficiency of infrastructure
Monitoring, Capacity Planning, and Reporting
Utilize system monitoring platforms to track performance and capacity, generate availability reports, and proactively address issues
Project Leadership
Lead infrastructure projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of enterprise-level experience in combined network and systems engineering roles
Advanced knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including CLI-based configuration and troubleshooting
Solid grasp of security principles, firewall technologies, VPN solutions, and vulnerability management
Experience with F5 Big-IP, iRules, and traffic management
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure integration
Strong background in Windows Server administration and Linux systems management
Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and enterprise storage solutions
Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 or the hourly equivalent.
