Description:

Title: Supervisor, Manufacturing Equipment Technical Support

Shift: Second Shift - 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Type: Full time

Location: Andover, MA

The Manufacturing Equipment Technical Support Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of technical support for mechanical and electrical machinery, including daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across all product lines. This role manages the daily operations of the technical support team, ensures timely resolution of production equipment issues, and maintains a high level of operational reliability.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience supervising and maintaining a highly automated 24/7 operation and will be accountable for achieving objectives related to production support, preventive maintenance compliance, labor utilization, inventory control, and data accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly group meetings to communicate objectives, updates, and performance expectations.
  • Provide feedback to the Technical Support Manager on strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Review preventive maintenance schedules, intervals, and backlog to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
  • Analyze equipment aging and recommend repair or replacement plans to minimize risk associated with end-of-life machinery.
  • Foster a work environment that supports continuous improvement, collaboration, and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities aligned with operational priorities and production goals.

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years of production experience
  • Strong team-oriented mindset
  • Experience establishing or improving team performance
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of critical equipment performance metrics
  • 3-5 years of maintenance or technical support experience
  • 5-7 years in a manufacturing environment
