The Network Engineer is responsible for all levels of engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated strategic direction and leading design, development, and analysis activities, as well as, ensuring decisions are made as a team across IT, business, and vendor stakeholders. The scope of these responsibilities encompasses Voice, Network, and Security architecture across the entire Fresh Thyme organization - Corporate, Store Operations, and Supply Chain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assists in the design for assigned technologies, based on direction set by strategy, architecture and leadership.
- Implements identified solutions, making suggestions to ensure a cost-effective and efficient infrastructure environment to provide the resources essential to enterprise operations.
- Lead or assist in the implementation of test plans including functionality, integrity and stress testing.
- Familiar with, and able to install and maintain, associated hardware and software
- Troubleshoots, maintains, upgrades, and provides solutions to hardware/software problems
- Alerts management, Help Desk team, and other IT groups when issues or problems arise
- Minimizes client productivity loss caused by technology outages and provides necessary infrastructure for clients to meet their business needs.
- Identifies opportunities for improving service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participates in IT initiatives to address service issues.
- Keeps current and aware of technical aspects of the computing environment.
- Develops a working knowledge of department specific applications.
- Attends seminars and other educational opportunities, seeks out insight and on-the-job training from senior engineers and other internal and external resources.
- Ability to work with multiple managed-service providers both for completion of daily duties as well as troubleshooting support issues.
- Strives continuously to improve client support, identifies opportunities, and recommends solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness while developing a working knowledge of department specific applications.
- Carries out field operations (all Fresh Thyme locations) as required.
- Performs activities in accordance with standards, guidelines, and processes including planning support for individual technical projects
- Understands Help Desk policies/procedures and acts as a liaison to Help Desk staff.

Education and Experience- Bachelors or equivalent 5+ years technical experience in IT infrastructure or engineering environments developing, implementing, and supporting similar technologies and services
- Prefer experience in IT infrastructure environments supporting related technologies and services.
- Prefer experience in technical services for hardware/software engineering and production support
- Certifications related to assigned area(s) of technology a plus.
- Experience with small to large projects in a cross functional environment.
- Experience in multi-platform environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to work in an agile environment including planning, user story creation, and maintaining status of cards.
- Basic understanding of distributed systems architecture and general knowledge of multiple technical disciplines including PC workstations (configuration and connectivity), network file servers, applicable software and troubleshooting techniques.
- Technical knowledge and aptitude in assigned technologies, able to work on and support these technologies independently.
- Ability to understand and assist in solving cross-functional problems that span multiple areas of technology.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a broad base of end-users including technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
- Ability to identify user requirements and aid in problem resolution with supervision; good customer service and communication skills.
- Good judgment and analytical skills; as well as follow up and organizational skills.
- Solid knowledge of engineering the following as applicable to assigned area.
Work Environment- Corporate office environment with majority of time spent at desk location and in meetings.
- Some travel to stores, DF, vendor sites and trade shows/conferences.
- Moderate overnight travel may be required.
- On call periodically outside of normal work hours to provide support by either working from home or on-site.
- May be required to provide 24x7 on-call support for any emergency which requires activation of all or part of the Business Continuity plans.

The pay range for this position is listed below. The actual rate offered will meet or surpass the legal wage requirement for the job's location.
$88,500.00 - $138,000.00
This pay range represents the minimum and maximum base pay for the position, which is determined by factors such as market data, the qualifications required, the level of responsibilities associated with the role and other roles at this same level. Specific pay rates will be within this range and based on your experience, qualifications, and skills compared to the internal team of this role.
Compensation for this position also includes incentive bonus opportunities that may vary based on individual and company performance. Specific details will be discussed during the hiring process.
