DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice requires the services of a Project Manager III for the Broadband Connectivity and Video Surveillance Expansion project. This project focuses on expanding broadband connectivity across TDCJ facilities statewide, ensuring reliable, secure network solutions to support agency operations. This position will be dedicated to this project.
 
The core duties include project oversight, planning, project tracking, scope management, change control management, risk management, and quality assurance of the project team. Must be adept at the development of schedule, cost, and risk management strategies. Must demonstrate and excel in communicating and working with a diverse team, using collaboration tools competently in a remote work environment. Must possess the ability to manage project activities; to establish project goals and objectives; to analyze complex information and develop plans to address identified issues; to identify project risks and gaps; manage multiple work streams; to communicate effectively. Must be able to work off-hours at different phases of the project. 
 
Duties Include:
· Directing the activities of resources in line with the business objectives of the project.
· Ensuring quality and timely delivery of critical path products and services.
· Establishing and maintaining quality metrics and guidelines.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
-May be required to work non-standard hours depending on project needs.
-Must have a bachelor’s degree.
-Must possess a PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
-Must be able to pass a CJIS background check.
-All work must be performed with TDCJ hardware only. A laptop and any required peripherals will be provided.
-This position may be filled as a remote or hybrid position but may occasionally require the contractor to work on-site. The ITD office is located on 815 11st, Huntsville TX 77340. Advance notice will be given when in-person meetings are required. Meetings may be at various locations across the state. Travel expenses may be covered for fuel and overnight stay at Government rates only.
-Overtime rates will not be paid. Hours worked over shall be billed at regular hourly rates.
-Candidate shall be dedicated to TDCJ and not hold employment other than this position.
