Full Stack Java Developer Pre-Trade Financial Systems-Whippany, NJ

Job Description:
We are seeking a Full Stack Java Developer with strong experience in financial services and pre-trade systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java development, SQL, Unix, messaging technologies, and job scheduling, along with a solid understanding of trading concepts and asset classes. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality applications within a controlled SDLC environment.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and support full-stack Java applications within the pre-trade environment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java, SQL, Unix, messaging technologies, and Autosys job scheduling.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Ensure compliance with software change management processes and development standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
Required Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java development.
- Strong experience with SQL, Unix/Linux, messaging technologies, and Autosys job scheduling.
- 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Deep understanding of trading concepts and various asset classes.
- Experience gathering business requirements and delivering technical solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, JIRA, and change management processes.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills - Experience with GitLab Duo or other AI-driven development environments.
- Stock Loan domain experience or exposure to securities financing/trading operations.
- Strong understanding of OpenAPI standards and API development.
