Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA)- Sybase ASE/DB2

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite, 5 days/week)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Database Administrator to provide production support for multiple database platforms (Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, Sybase IQ, UDB DB2, Sybase Replication, Postgres, Hadoop, MSSQL, MongoDB, Oracle) infrastructure globally. This is a fully onsite role at our Salt Lake City office requiring flexibility for weekend shifts.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Provide alert resolution, provisioning activities, and support for user requests
Support database implementation, migrations, lifecycle upgrades, and capacity planning
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, application, and infrastructure teams
Flexible availability for weekend shifts

Must-Have Qualifications:

3–5 years of experience in Database Administration
3–5 years of hands-on experience with Sybase ASE and/or DB2
3–5 years of experience supporting database/data center migrations
Strong understanding of database administration tasks, troubleshooting, performance analysis, SQL, database architecture, and upgrades/migrations
3–5 years of experience with job scheduling tools (Autosys, cron, bash scripting)
Ability to follow and execute runbooks in a production environment
3–5 years of experience working in Linux environments (primarily RHEL)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to prioritize effectively in a highly dynamic, globally-focused work environment

Nice-to-Have:

Exposure to additional databases (Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL, MongoDB)
Experience with large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments
