.Net Team Lead

Title: .NET Team Lead

Location: Remote

Duration: Ongoing contract

Project Overview:

This role will support and maintain a Specialty Pharmacy platform responsible for processing specialty drug prescriptions and routing claims to the appropriate pharmacy based on defined business logic. This is a mission-critical production system operating in a regulated healthcare environment. The focus is on stability, compliance, and operational continuity, not net-new feature development.

• Ongoing maintenance and support of an existing platform.
• Compliance-driven enhancements and remediation.
• Addressing system pain points, performance issues, and production incidents.
• No major greenfield or net-new development planned at this time.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong backend-focused .NET / C# engineer
• Proven experience leading or coordinating offshore teams
• Comfortable owning production systems and support workflows
• Experience with API-driven platforms and regulated environments preferred
• Clear communicator who can bridge business and engineering

Architecture + Ecosystem:

• Microservices-based architecture
• Backend-heavy application
• Heavy use of API integrations with external pharmacy systems
• Azure-hosted components

Core Technologies:

• .NET / C#
• ASP.NET MVC or .NET Core MVC acceptable

• SQL Server

• Docker & Kubernetes
• API Gateway (Gravitee preferred; others acceptable)
• Azure
• PowerBI (reporting)

Team Ownership & Responsibilities:

Onshore

• Business interaction and technical leadership
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting
• Oversight of offshore execution
• Knowledge transfer and documentation
• Point of coordination for delivery and quality

Offshore

• 1 Developer + 1 QA
• Responsibilities include:
• API development and integrations
• .NET / C# and SQL Server support
• Environment stability

• QA support

• Offshore developer also handles scrum-lite responsibilities 

Offshore Leadership Expectations

• Prior technical lead experience is critical
• Daily coordination with offshore team
• Approximately:
• 50% of time spent overlapping with offshore team (guidance, review, coordination)

• 50% hands-on development and onshore work
• Accountable for:

• Delivery consistency
• Technical clarity and execution
