Senior ServiceNow Developer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, implement, and optimize enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing IT service management and operational workflows by delivering scalable, high-quality ServiceNow solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional technical teams, you will translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions, troubleshoot platform issues, and ensure seamless integration with existing enterprise systems. Your technical expertise will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, automation, and continuous innovation across the organization''s ServiceNow ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, and platform enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, validate, and refine business and technical requirements.
  • Customize and configure ServiceNow applications, modules, forms, catalogs, workflows, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, and automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using ServiceNow APIs and other integration technologies to ensure seamless connectivity with enterprise systems.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues within the ServiceNow platform while ensuring optimal system performance and stability.
  • Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, system architecture, configuration documents, and user guides.
  • Mentor junior developers by providing technical guidance, conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, and supporting the team''s professional development.
  • Stay current with emerging ServiceNow capabilities, platform releases, industry trends, and best practices, recommending improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational coding standards, security policies, governance frameworks, and ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Conduct peer code reviews, participate in technical design discussions, and contribute to solution architecture and implementation planning.
  • Perform and support Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management configurations to enhance IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities and improve operational visibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
  • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow APIs, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes, including workflow automation and platform customization.
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow modules including:
    • ITSM (IT Service Management)
    • CSM (Customer Service Management / PSDS)
    • HAM (Hardware Asset Management)
  • Hands-on experience with Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with participation in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and iterative development.
  • Relevant ServiceNow certifications such as ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified System Administrator (CSA), or Implementation Specialist certifications are highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and engage with business stakeholders.
