Duties & Responsibilities:

Viavi Solutions Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced technology environment, contributing to the design, development, and testing of innovative electrical systems and components.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior engineers in the design, simulation, and testing of analog and digital circuits.
  • Support the development and debugging of embedded systems, including hardware and firmware.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments, collect data, and analyze results.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, schematics, and layouts.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into larger systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in prototypes and existing products.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in electrical engineering.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, digital logic, and analog electronics.
  • Familiarity with circuit design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, SPICE).
  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C/C++, Python) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
